1,000 km Kom op tegen Kanker
Cycling together against cancer
Pedaling against cancer. At DHL, we’ve been doing this for over 10 years. In 2025, during the Ascension weekend, 24 DHL colleagues of different business units and locations took part in the 1,000 km ride for Kom op tegen Kanker. Together, we raised €16,500 for scientific cancer research.

Selling plants together
Every year, we also take part in the plant weekend for Kom op tegen Kanker. At various locations in Flanders, our DHL Cares volunteers sell azaleas, and we also help transport the plants to the different sales points.
Alzheimerliga Vlaanderen
Together against dementia
We’ve had a great partnership with Alzheimerliga Vlaanderen for several years now. We support them with helping hands and logistics. For example, we packed and shipped around 1,000 information kits to different hospitals. We also support them financially, e.g. by including them as a charity in our year-end gifts.
As one for others
DHL Volunteer Weeks
During the annual Volunteer Weeks, DHL colleagues worldwide roll up their sleeves for good causes. In Belgium, 50 colleagues joined this year. They made candy bags for Alzheimer Liga Vlaanderen, filled lunch boxes with BETER vzw, packed birthday kits for underprivileged children at FEESTvarken vzw, sold plants for Kom op tegen Kanker, and accompanied people with disabilities on a bike ride and a concert outing. We’re proud that every year so many colleagues dedicate their free time to charity work, showing that at DHL we do much more than move parcels from A to B! Together, we make a difference!

Blind spot lessons
Tips from truckers
Children have to deal with traffic from a young age, so it’s important that they know what they should be aware of. They also need to learn about cyclists, traffic lights, cars, and trucks. But don’t worry, our experienced drivers know all the answers. Both in the Netherlands and Belgium, we teach pupils aged ten to twelve about vehicle blind spots. We contribute trained drivers and a golden-yellow fleet of trucks to turn each exciting traffic safety teaching program into a great success.

Together, we contribute to society with initiatives like 'Profit meets Non-Profit' and actions during Women's Day.
