DHL eCommerce and OH Leuven support KU Leuven research for stronger women's football

Women's Day 2026_DHL & OH Leuven Women

Every day, talented women, both on the pitch and in the workplace, prove that knowledge, opportunities, and confidence are the fuel that drives growth. At DHL eCommerce, we strongly believe in this power. When people receive the support they need to reach their full potential, they can turn dreams into reality and push boundaries. We share that same ambition with OH Leuven Women. That’s why the match on Saturday, 14 March 2026, against Club YLA, will be entirely dedicated to International Women’s Day. It promises to be an evening full of football, atmosphere, and meaning.

A theme that drives progress: “Know More, Dream Bigger”
This year, the players of OH Leuven Women chose the central theme themselves. They want to gain more insight into the female body in elite sports, because knowledge is essential to improve performance and prevent injuries. That is why the proceeds from various activities that day will go entirely to an important KU Leuven research project, examining how the menstrual cycle influences the recovery of female football players. DHL will donate, among other things, 5% of the revenue from fan merchandise and ticket sales to support this research. This initiative fits perfectly with our joint charter, “Scoring Together in Women’s Football,” through which we are committed to further professionalizing the women’s game.

Pre‑Match seminar
Before kick-off, we are inviting experts to share their insights on what top performance demands from the female body. An inspiring session that highlights how science and sport go hand in hand to enable the next steps in women’s football.

The more supporters fill the stands, the better the atmosphere and the greater the support for the research. With this special day, we not only shine a spotlight on women’s football, but also help build a sports world that is better attuned to the needs of female athletes.

For more knowledge.
For more growth.
For more equal opportunities in sport
